Hi! I’m Vanessa; a mom, a businesswoman, and someone who believes in living life with intention, love, and community at the heart of everything I do. My kids are my biggest inspiration, and they’ve shaped how I approach both my life and my work. That’s why I started Cloud 9 Studios on the foundation of Montessori principles—because it’s all about nurturing growth, asking questions, and empowering people to take charge of their own wellness journey.

I grew up in Oakland, CA, to teen parents who worked hard to give me the opportunities I've had. Their hustle is in my DNA. Working10 years in Silicon Valley as a Digital Content Producer, I saw firsthand the struggles we face as women of color, especially in industries that weren’t made for us to thrive. It fired me up. I knew I had to be a voice for our community, changing the narrative around wellness and cannabis—a tool that heals in ways most people don’t even realize.

I started Cloud 9 Studios with a mission: to empower people—especially our Black and brown communities—with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive. Cloud 9 Studios is all about bringing that education to the forefront, helping people tap into their highest potential with tools that not only heal the body but the mind and spirit too.

For me, it’s not just about putting on events—it’s about living it. I’ve woven many of the same principles taught through our programs into my own self-care routines. Trust me, bringing events to life can get heavy, but I lean on those practices to keep me grounded and show up fully for my family, my community, and myself.

I’m here to build something real, and I’m just getting started. The goal? To bring the resources offered by Cloud 9 Studios to businesses and people everywhere, especially in communities of color. We deserve access to the tools that help us live our best lives, and I’m here to make sure we get it.
